ABSTRACT:
This article aims at analysing the learning about assessment in teacher education considering two aspects: the assessment process that the student experiences; and the possible impacts of this on his future action as a teacher. Results of a research conducted in courses of teacher education programs in the field of Language Arts, Mathematics and Pedagogy in a public university in 2014 were analysed. One of them showed that students study almost nothing about assessment. This suggests that teachers are not being prepared to assess.
