Open-access Politics, advertisement and history teaching

This paper discusses the meaning of advertisement in the contemporary society and its relationship to the historical awareness of the people, through history learning. It also argues that advertisements are a precious document for History research and teaching. An illustration of this is an advertisement recurring to a historical theme (the Independence of Brazil) during the "Brazilian Economical Miracle" (1969-1973)
