Teaching of philosophy in high schools of the Federal District of Brazil: history, practices and meanings of construction

The current article intends to socialize some information and reflection on the teaching of philosophy in public high-schools of the Federal District of Brazil as of its starting point in the educational practices and researches of the authors. The article presents some ideas concerning the presence of philosophy teaching in Brazil and regarding the history and its current context of the Brazilian Educational System. It also offers some data on the graduation and practice of the professors of philosophy and, finally, it presents some perspective to rethink the themes discussed.
