The privatization of a company: an economic action rooted in social relationships

In the 1990s the employees of Brazilian state-owned companies made organizational changes in their companies which led to privatization, reengineering and downsizing. I believe that the guidelines which were adopted were the result of the interpretations and redefinitions of the State's demands the so-called neoliberal reform by the agents of interaction in the company's sphere of power political struggle as cognitive struggle. In this regard, based on empirical data interviews, questionnaires, documents and company newspapers the privatization process and productive restructuring is analyzed by considering its microstructural determinants the configurations and reconfigurations of the organization's internal social relationships , which produced a sellable type of company in conformance with the criteria of the financial agents.
