The structure of magnetic domains in barium hexaferrite was investigated using magnetic force microscopy through the application of an external magnetic field. The material was obtained by sintering of powders processed by high-energy milling. The surface magnetic domains structures were determined using magnetic force microscopy and it was observed that increasing the applied magnetic field, the domains became more intense and defined, showing sizes around 2.9 µm, when a magnetic field of 8.40 kOe was applied.
