The knowledge management as control technique: a critical boarding of the conversion of the tacit knowledge in explicit

Knowledge management as management technology is an emergent subject in the academic and organizational spaces. However, the research and literature on the subject have emphasized specifically the practical aspects of the knowledge management, having rejected the aspects of control and domination of this management technology. From the decade of 1970, different boardings that offered alternatives to the practical perspective, until then widely dominant, had started to gain body in the organizational studies. Among them, it is distinguished critical management studies. The objective of this essay is to present a critical analysis on management technology known as knowledge management, more specifically, the conversion of the tacit knowledge in explicit. Therefore, this essay was divided in five parts: introduction to the subject, a description of the origin and the concepts of management of the knowledge, origin and concepts in critical studies in administration, critical boarding of the knowledge management and final thoughts.
