ABSTRACT
The wood anatomy of Rapanea ferrugínea (Ruiz e Pav.) Mez. is described. Quantitative data from diferente features of the secondary xylem is furnished, as well as photomicrographs of the wood structure. Wide rays and low percentage of axial parenchyma are important characteristics of the wood structure.
