ABSTRACT
The wood anatomy of Mimosa eriocarpa Benth. is described, based on 31 quantitative features of its xylem structure. The description is illustrated with photomicrographs, taked on the three anatomical sections. The structure observed is compared with literature references to allied species, in a taxonomic and phylogenetic analysis.
