This article consists of two parts. The first analyses the Administration's 5S's Program, borned in Japan on the last 60s, and the Participatory Style of Organizational Management. The second part exposes an experience in the co-application of these two forms of management in an Universitary Library. Attemps to demonstrate that is possible, in a context of escarce resources, to find original solutions, reaching substantial advances in the services offered to the users and creating an environment of trust, responsability and quality in the work space.
