The article discusses the notion of learning organisations having information as its background. It describes contemporary approaches and its fragility as Descartes Paradigm - based models. It also presents alternatives that take into account the complexity of contemporary organisations which are believed to contribute to the knowledge concerning the operating of information in cognitive process as well as to the approach of information as a managerial resource in a less pragmatic way.
