The objective of this work is to present and to emphasize the importance of computer science in the inherente jobs the Library of Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná / PUC/PR, speeding the process technician (catalogation, classification , indexation, selection/acquisition, lending/devolution and statistical reports). Also it searchs to assist the user of the system to better use and to understand the process of research of information in the existing quantity in the library. It also presents the level of knowledge and satisfaction of the users how much to the system Pergamum of the Library of PUC/PR, what will make possible necessary alterations and desirable perfectionings for one better attendance the academic community.
