In this research the Personal BrainTM software was utilized, which allows us building a map that shows the flowing and interrelation of internal and external information in the organization. This mapping is essential to the implementation of competitive intelligence and knowledge management. To verify the applicability of the mentioned software, it was used on a human resources department in a public institution. As a sequential way two models were provided: the former one draws the department routine work, whereas the second one describes how efficient the department could be by aggregating to its activities necessary information sources in order to provide aids and guaranties of the better quality job for their several kinds of users.
