This article presents the trends on the subject, according to the literature and compare them with the Brazilian situation; it discusses the process of production, access and distribution of the Information Sources on Companies e Industrial Products. The conclusion indicates that improvements are necessary, and suggests the creation of a Referral Information Centre to solve the issues of distribution and access of this type of information sources, in Brazil. With regard to trends, it indicates the use of electronic formats in the production of these sources of information and the incoporation of information from regional markets' countries.
