This article offers an introductory thinking on remote access oriented digital conversion of photographic public collections. It also focuses on the relevance of this issue to social web, in the sense of its visual memory preservation, identity strengthen. The access to an informational content is associated to knowledge magnifying in all social context spaces, be it educational or cultural one. The article mentions some concepts related to the information policy context. It indicates the need of new models, in the sense of its idealizing and implementing, for collecting, organizing and disseminating digital images from public collections, in way of starting a "watch changing", intending to effectively insert those images into the informational process.
