The article presents a summary of twenty years of activities in Núcleo Temático da Seca (Nut-Seca), which is part of the Centro de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas (CCSA) da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). The article describes the reactivation process that was undertaken through an order of regulation of the head of the Institution as well as the cooperation with Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia (IBICT). This was made possible through the advisement of the author to the Reactivation.
