Abstract:
The professional identity of an individual is built up by the experiences in primary socialization, by going through professional path. Based on authors such as Dubar, Bolívar, Berger and Luckmann, we describe reports of mathematics teachers on the Final Years of Elementary School who use music in the classroom, with the objective of explaining how music was/is present in the formation of these teachers' identities. Using cartography, a cartographic map is presented with the highlights of the recorded reports. The experiences of the participants have been found to influence the decisions for the use of music in the classroom. Deployed practices have been identified such as: meditation; background music; the use of ready-made parodies for content memorization; production of parodies for content review.
