Collaborative Interactions and the role of the student in the polyteaching

Abstract:

This article discusses one possible role that students can play in teaching distance courses. More specifically, it discusses how the student, in contact with Digital Technologies, can be considered as polyteaching member in Distance Education. For this, we conducted qualitative research in three Calculus classes of Pre-Service Mathematics Teacher Education at the Open University of Brazil. As methodological procedures, interviews were conducted with students, tutors and teachers of these classes and observation in Virtual Learning Environments. It is noteworthy that, for the figure of the student polyteacher emerge in distance learning courses, there is the need to encourage dialogue between the participants of the courses in the search for a horizontal relationship.
