The teacher's identity discourses production

This paper intends to emphatize some aspects of teaching life, dealing with troubles based on Cultural Studies and with analysis from Foucault's inspiration. We aim to point out the different speeches that form the teacher's identity, even though the hardness faced by the new teachers in their arrival at the schools. We consider the school possessing a specific culture regarding to the production of knowledge and in the formation of the teachers that participate in its institutional structure. The teachers are constituted by a title and are bind to it. There is a charge of meanings that are proper of this modern world and that cannot be thought in a different way. It becomes clear that this production is not exclusively from a school's culture, it is done in and outside from the walls of the school. These are the discussions focused through the entire text, pointing out the necessity of thinking how this teacher it is being narrated, subjectived and identified and how it is important to know such narratives. Knowing is an act of governing.
