Abstract:
In this article, we discuss the role of emotions in professional health care relationships, based on posts on the social network Instagram. Understanding health services as part of the professional sphere of care, we argue that emotions are not only an essential dimension of the therapeutic and care process, but also reveal social aspects of these relationships. We draw attention to the feeling of gratitude expressed by patients and professionals, since publicizing this emotion on social networks is a way of valuing aspects of care work that are not visible by the monetary value paid for them.
