Abstract:

After presenting his knowledge of the controversy about Nietzsche an object of "raging discussions" between right and left wing intellectuals, between Hitler's enthusiasts and enemies of Nazism, the author leads the reader into reflecting on the ideas of the German philosopher. For such, after discussing some data of his biography, he presents excerpts from Thus Spoke Zarathustra in which it isvisible that Nietzsche's ideal was freedom for himself and others which is the reason why he is so highly esteemed "within the circle of progressive writers."
