Juvenile protagonism in specialized literature and in secondary-school education reform

"Juvenile protagonism" has had a considerable impact on the educational area, mainly after implementation of the secondary-school education curricular reform, whose guidelines adopt this concept as one of the pillars of the suggested innovations . However, the issue can have different interpretations. Concerned with greater conceptual accuracy, this article draws upon several authors' definitions as a counterpoint for the analysis of protagonism such as proposed in the official reform document.
