SWEET CORN

SUMMARY Sweet corn is a mutation originated from normal corn, appropriated for human consumption. It is of limited use in Brazil. However due its consumption potential and as an income source for small farmers its divulgation is desirable and necessary. This review is about its importance, genetics traits related to plant breeding, cultivation, consumption and postharvest storage.
