The present work had the objective to define an equation to describe plant heights in function of diameters of Eucalyptus dunnii Maiden. Data were collected infour properties of Company Riocell S.A distributed along several counties of the Central Depression and Southeast Slope of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. The trees sampled were six to seven years old. The datas were adjusted to heights and diameters to describe the hypsometric relation, usingthe Forward regression procedure. In the selection of the model, the coefficient of determination statistics (R²), standard error of estimate in percentage of means (Syx °/o) as well as residue analyses of the models were considered. The best height estimations were obtained with the equations In (h-1,3) = b0, + b1 logd + b2ln²d, which showed the following coefficients R² = 0.8921 and Syx %= 2.5175.
