PRECISION OF CORN CULTIVARS EXPERIMENTS SUBMITTED TO DIFFERENT FERTILIZING QUANTITIES

The effect of three different fertilizing types and quantities on the experimental error was studied. The three fertilizations were: fertilizing for corn yield lower than t/ha; for corn yield higher than 6t/ha and seeds treated with Zn; fertilizing for corn yield higher than 6t/ha, seeds treated with Zn plus organic fertilizing. The completely randomized design was used in four replications. Each fertilizer replication was composed of two corn cultivars distributed at randon. Results demonstrated that the experimental error was larger for the fertilizing type with more number of components. The precision of grain yield estimation was improved by increasing soil fertility level.
