This study was carried out in 1995 in areas cultivated with annual crops of the Cruz Alta region, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in an oxisol, aiming to evaluate the effect cultivation time under no-tiliage system on density, porosity and aggregate stability. Areas cultivated with one, six and nine years under the no-tiliage system were used. Samples were collected in five different locations within each área at depths of 0-7, 7-14 and 14-21cm to determine soil density and porosity and, at a depth of 0-5cm for aggregates stability. Cultivation time under no-tiliage system hadno effect on total porosity, macro and microporosity in the three evaluated depths. Areas with six and nine years under no-tiliage system showed higher aggregate percentage for classes with higher diameters (9.52-4.76 and 4.76-2.0mm) than áreas with one year under no-tiliage system.
