Supercritical CO2 deterpenation of orange peel oil is investigated in a semi-batch extractor modeled and simulated for a synthetic mixture of limonene (90% by weight) and linalol (10 %). Mathematical modeling was done taking the supercritical extraction as a batch distillation on a CO2-free basis. Process parameters were calculated integrating Rayleigh equation by a fourth order Runge-Kutta method. The phase equilibrium relationship was calculated by a modified Peng-Robinson EOS with interaction parameters regressed from VLE data of CO2+limonene, CO2+linalol and CO2+limonene+linalol systems.
