The teachers’ acting revealed in the work of planning and production of a didactic sequence: contributions to the construction of a semiology of acting

ABSTRACT

In this article we recover and discuss some results of a master’s study which aimed to investigate the work/act of language teachers during the planning and production of a didactic sequence for English language teaching. The research is mainly grounded on the theoretical approach of the Sociodiscursive Interactionism (SDI) (Bronckart, 2008; 2006; 2009 [1999]) and its studies carried out under the didactic of languages field (Schneuwly; Dolz, 2004). The data survey was generated in a university extension course for teachers’ education and analyzed based on the SDI model of text analysis. The research results bring contributions to the construction and/or discussion of a semiology of acting; as well as, highlight, important aspects of the planning work and promote a debate about its status on the teachers’ education.
