ABSTRACT
This paper aims to articulate two sets of theoretical contributions to the understanding of an episode of interaction in a class of 1st. Year of Elementary School of a public school in São Paulo (Brazil): on the one hand, a linguistic theory - especially that developed in the field of textual studies - and, on the other hand, a didactic theory - especially that developed in the field of disciplinary didactics. The proposed confrontation exercise allows, by hypothesis, to re-address the problem of frontier relations between the linguistic and the didactic in the enterprise of description and analysis of classroom interaction.
