ABSTRACT
The Covid-19 pandemic boosted scientific cooperation with various levels of government to develop strict criteria for the process of formulating public policies. USP has demonstrated its ability to recommend policies based on scientific evidence, driven by the diversified work of dozens of units, centers, and research groups. This effective capacity can be brought together and articulated to shape the creation of a new multidisciplinary Center that would collaborate with public authorities in preparing, monitoring and evaluating Public Policies. USP, once again, can establish itself as a national benchmark for the advanced qualification of Brazilian policy makers.
