Logística reversa de medicamentos no Brasil: uma análise socioambiental

ABSTRACT

Using the FPSEEA matrix, this work aimed to understand the socio-environmental reality of the implementation of reverse logistics of medicines to minimize pharmaceutical-contamination and achieve the SDGs. Thus, it highlighted the actions of control, monitoring and environmental education to reduce the impacts of pharmaceutical waste and promote sustainability. In addition, it analyzed 18 socio-environmental variables by hierarchical clustering and K-means methods, defining three Brazilian scenarios: more developed (Southeast); less developed (North, Northeast and Midwest); and developing (South). Additionally, it showed that the form of final disposal of solid waste is influenced by the existence of reverse logistics laws for medicines.
