The present work had the objective of studying the adaptation of the soil and analyzing the agricultural suitability map, as well as the mapping of the occupation of the soil, by creating and structuring a database using Geoprocessing. The research aimed updates and iterations of the information quickly and efficiency, allowing adaptations and/or elaboration of thematic maps of the studied area. By the occupation maps of the soil with the agricultural suitability map, it could be verified that: the County Maringá - PR, has the occupation land in agreement with agricultural suitability that is recommended for the region; the high percentage of native woods in good suitability soil for cultures, it is in according to environmental laws.
