Fixed support cover/hands: functional autonomy care for people's with neurological lesion spastic sequel

It is an experimental study with the objective of identifying strategies to reduce level of the person's dependence with brain traumatic lesion sequel on a large scale, for help in the acting of daily activities and self care. Only subject that, along 13 years, 4.745 days, 113.880 hours, with severe physical disability and accentuated espasticity history, needs the caregivers´ help for accomplishment of transfers of the wheelchairs for the bed. Prototype was elaborated based on the assistive technology to aid in the mobilization and respective transfers, with satisfactory, even so restricted results to the dynamics of being projected of one surface for another with respective alignment of the body. Concluding this study, the installation of the prototype is recommended in the research' laboratories of care, under graduation and masters of nursing programs, so that researchers and students invest in the identification of the disabled persons' potentialities for larger independence and abilities for self care.
