Proposal for validation of indicators and standards for pain management in the patient

The pain is an unpleasant sensorial and emotional experience related with damage to the tissue. The objective was to validate the standards and indicators for the handling of the pain. It is a transversal and descriptive study. The pattern was used of standard of A. Donavedis. The universe was 150 nurses and the sample, 109. The validation process was carried out in three stages: In the first one the technical Delphi was used in 24 expert nurses with two shifts. In the second stage, a test pilot in 10% of the sample where the consistency was validated with the alpha of Cronbach with indexes of validation of accuracy in adults at 0,711. In the third, the precision was measured using the Pattern of Capacity of Processes (Icp). In conclusion the instrument was validated with three standards: 7 of structure, 13 of processes and 4 of results, all with a maximum Icp, higher than one.
