Therapeutical potential of the phenytoin in the cicatrisation of radiotherapy lesions

The phenytoin is an anticonvulsant whose high incidence of gingival hyperplasia in epileptic patient orientated clinical investigations of the healing potential of this drug. The following text brings the report of his use in lesion caused by radiotherapy used in a patient carrier of larynx cancer. Get epithelium was obtained after approximately 14 days of topical application of the phenytoin endovenous solution. This result can be a relevant die for the development of products and care forms in the treatment of the lesions in radiotherapy.
