Feelings experienced by women submitted to a treatment for Human Papillomavirus

The lack of information on the papillomavirus human can generate misconception on the treatment interfering in the familiar and social context of the woman. With the purpose to know the feelings experienced by women submitted to treatment of lesions by human papillomavirus, was carried trough a qualitative research of exploratory nature accomplished with 12 women, based on the obtaining and analysis of semi-structured interview. The information was analyzed in accordance with the literature and disposed in two themes: Emotional reactions and Repercussions in the relationship. It was conclued that the woman that is being submitted to treatment of lesions by human papillomavirus needs cares from the nurses, as a way to face better that period which is living.
