Policy and Information Regime: Theoretical constructs and practical tessituras

ABSTRACT

Objective:

The present work discusses the theoretical constructions of the information regime, taking into account the methodological, relational and pragmatic character of this construct in enhancing the overview of a given context, thus facilitating the identification of its interacting elements, whatever they are , information artifacts, devices and information actions developed by human social actors in the practical field of the Teacher Adelina Almeida School headquartered in Petrolina, municipality of Pernambuco. The study aims to identify in the design of the Information Regime, the elements that constitute it and the potential of this construct in the elaboration of informational policies that strengthen the informational actions developed by the social actors of basic education.

Methods:

It uses action research, of an applied nature, with a correlational objective and a qualitative approach.

Results:

The research highlighted the four components of the Information Regime and enabled the identification of potentialities and gaps in the informational actions and policies developed in the organization field of study.

Conclusions:

From this study, it was found that the concept of the Information Regime, in addition to being a theoretical, methodological and practical approach that can be applied in any informational context, is suggestive for identifying gaps in informational actions and policies and improving the organizational processes.
