Limits and possibilities of pedagogical rationality in higher education

This article is the result of a research that has as its object the work and the mobilization of teacher knowledge, having as the main focus of analysis the limits and possibilities of rationality pedagogical in Higher Education. The theoretical basis is anchored in the various studies that seek to map the rationalities that move these professionals in working situation, having as a reference to the practice. Considering the complexity of the object, it was used for qualitative research, since it focuses on the meanings of the research subjects. The research results show that the teachers investigated, powered by a technical rationality, have its own pedagogy based on transmission of the content.
