ABSTRACT
It investigates the meaning of care in the National Curriculum Guidelines, 2001.The aim is analyze of education in health care professionals. It points to the following results: need for a humanistic view able to balance the use of scientific knowledge and technologies, in order to meet the needs of individuals and the community; care guidance involving either Education and Health actions or even showing being itself part of these actions.
