ABSTRACT:
This article seeks to contribute to the understanding of how education reform agenda in the Latin America region is currently structured. One of the main instruments used by educational organizations in setting the agenda and the discourse on education policy is the dissemination of documents that provide diagnosis and suggestions for improvements. The article analyzes the positions of a set of documents produced and/or promoted, during the 2012-2014 period, by some of the major international organizations involved in technical and financial cooperation in Latin America. For that purpose, it compares the perspectives of analysis, balances, challenges and recommendations that the documents present on the basic education policies implemented in the region since the early 2000s.
