The ethical discourse of the educator to evaluate discourse analysis in education qualitative research

This text presents excerpts of a research study conducted in the field of adult education targeting ethical issues regarding the evaluation of educators. It addresses the evaluating ethical positioning of educators, which are identified through their discourse. When questioned, they voice their evaluating difficulties in the context of their guidance work in the development of personal and professional projects to first-year French university students. We present the investigation methods and address the issue of the singularity of profiles of the educators featured in the research. The method used for the corpus analysis, constituted by the discourse of the educators, employs some categories of Discourse Analysis. With the examples presented herewith, we hope to contribute to the dissemination of this instrument of analysis in qualitative research in the field of education.
