Abstract
The present article proposes a discussion that deals with many different areas of historiographical knowledge: the history of crime, of the realms of labor, and of gender. By proposing this task, we intend to analyze the process of criminalization of domestic service, especially of the domestic workers, through a intersectional perspective, by analyzing were crucial for the consolidation of stigmas disseminated by the Rio de Janeiro press of the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century.
