Abstract
This article aimed to demonstrate that The merry pilgrims: old rural tales (2022), is a superb work which, embroidered with ambivalent threads of reality and imagination, implies the intention of the erudite narrator of remembering the steps of his maturation from the characters experiences, at least to the moment that he manages to speak for himself or to move to his most intimate level.
