Organization of LGBTQIAPN+ memories and cultural heritages from the perspective of declassification

Abstract:

The field of knowledge organization, inserted in the area of Information Science, is dedicated to the development of fundamentals and techniques for the selection, organization, storage, communication, and retrieval of documents that transmit knowledge and information, capable of generating new knowledge. As a rule, the organization of knowledge is based on categories pre-established by a certain hegemonic and totalizing culture, based on an essentialist and hierarchical logic, without understanding the violence and the hegemonic place from which its proposals come. Thus, based on the perception of problems in the field of knowledge organization, we seek here to support our views from the perspective of García Gutiérrez's declassification, which proposes the introduction of logical pluralism and the acceptance of contradiction as fundamental tools to guarantee representation, organize and promote the protagonism of marginalized and forgotten/erased voices in the contexts of cultural memories and heritage. Thus, when we enter the fields of memory, culture, and heritage studies, it is noticeable the absence of legal frameworks that guarantee the organization, preservation, and dissemination of the memories and cultural heritage of the LGBTQIAPN+ community. Therefore, the research proposed here invites us to shift our gaze to the margins of scientific and social knowledge, to overcome oppressive, dominant, and universalist logics that inflict symbolic and epistemological violence in the organization of knowledge, affecting a conglomerate of individuals and social groups. Thus, by guaranteeing the protagonism of the voices that emerge from the ghettos and slums of knowledge, we are sharing feelings of renewal and revolution in scientific and social activities.
