Abstract
The purpose of this article is to discuss the effects of the experience lived by Higher Education teachers in the Obeduc and Pibid programs on their professional development. These programs were implemented by the Federal University of Ouro Preto and the Federal Institute of Minas Gerais-campus Ouro Preto, For data collection, a semi-structured interview was used. Among the results, it is highlighted that even though the programs do not aim at the professional development of Higher Education teachers, they constitute training spaces for these professionals, as they bring elements for reflection on theory and practice, the proposition of research topics, and the approximation between school and university. This also contributes to the constitution of their teaching identity.
