EVIDENCE OF THE MOBILIZATION OF PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE OF TEACHERS IN INITIAL TRAINING FROM READING THE BOOK THE PERIODIC TABLE

ABSTRACT:

The present study aims to search for evidence of the mobilization of professional knowledge of teachers in initial training from the reading and reflection of chapters of the book The Periodic Table, by Primo Levi, in the context of a theoretical-methodological discipline. As theoretical references we use studies that discuss the training needs of science teachers and the professional knowledge that guide the teaching practice. The results show, among other aspects, that the space dedicated to reading and critical reflection contributed to the mobilization of professional knowledge important for the initial training of chemistry teachers, in addition to encouraging the practice of reading of the participants.
