SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE ON THE TEACHING HUMAN EVOLUTION AND THE EDUCATION OF ETHNIC-RACIAL RELATIONS BASED ON BRAZILIAN DISSERTATIONS AND THESES

ABSTRACT:

The objective of this article is to analyze approaches to human evolution applied in secondary biology education through a systematic review of the literature on the teaching experiences investigated and/or reported in Dissertations and Theses published nationally in three databases. To analyze the academic production, the premises of Discursive Textual Analysis were used and the results are presented in such a way as to explain institutional aspects of this production, thematic approaches and the theoretical-methodological elements of the didactic experiences and the linkage with the education of ethnic-racial relations. From the review it was possible to extract an approximation between categories and descriptive statements as a way of systematizing the contribution of this study to future research and educational interventions. Due to the small number of works and experiences, the need to expand teaching and research initiatives to work on the education of ethnic-racial relations in the teaching of human evolution is highlighted.
