IS ARGUMENTATION POSSIBLE WITHOUT CONTROVERSY?

ABSTRACT:

In this paper, we deal with argumentative processes in school, in the context of sciences classes. Commonly, studies on this topic indicate the view conflict condition as necessary for the arguments' production. Here we analyze the possibility of argument without viewpoint conflict/opposition. Therefore, we use the concepts of statement/utterance of Bakhtin and studies that make explicit the idea that to enunciate is to argue as theoretical framework. We finished this paper analyzing an episode in which we identify the presence of arguments despite the absence of conflict of viewpoint.
