ABSTRACT:
This text presents the results of a study that analyzed the Municipal Curriculum Guidelines for Environmental Education (DCMEA) of the Municipal Department of Education of Curitiba, aiming to investigate whether the document advocates the dimension of sensitivity and aesthetic experiences in environmental education. This investigation is installed in the field of qualitative studies, in the light of ecophenomenology, focusing on documentary research on the DCMEA and semi-structured interviews with four professionals involved in the writing of this document. The results indicate that the document contemplates sensitivity and advances in overcoming Cartesian dualisms. However, there are gaps concerning the feasibility of sensitizing experiences of educating for attention, of developing other ways of questioning social organization, cultural relations and their historical processes embodied in life and relationships.
