The aim of this article is to investigate from Freud's Psychological Writings, several moments in which he employs the word enjoyment (Genuss) and the verb to enjoy (genieben), in order to understand their significations. In this trajectory, we will establish the enjoyment of civilization, privileges, good things of life and of desire accomplishment; the enjoyment of divine grace blessings, the enjoyment of humoristic pleasure, the diversity of mental occurrences, and sexual enjoyment.
