PLACE, SYSTEMIC MOBILITY AND SITUATED LEARNING IN THE DISPOSITIONS OF POPULAR YOUTH

ABSTRACT

This essay proposes a theoretical articulation between place, systemic mobility and situated learning, presenting a conceptual framework, and suggesting research itineraries that make possible to deepen the understanding between youth from popular milieus and education. It assumes that the multiple instances of the context of young people’s lives and, in particular, those of their place of origin can influence their student trajectories. In this sense, it is argued about the appreciation of the place of origin as a locus of analysis of dispositional assets, considering the notion of pluridimensionality of the place, its horizontalities and verticalities, having as a theoretical background the concept of systemic mobility to elucidate the complex relationships between the theories discussed.
